1 of its kind kids fashion show where 90 kids will walk the ramp

It will be perhaps for the first time in India that a 2.8 years kid will be walking the ramp! And this happens at the ‘Rangbirangee’ Annual Graduation Kids Fashion Show being organized by Pune’s leading fashion academy, cffa (Career Forum Fashion Academy) on 16th November 2008 at 5.30 pm at Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch, where 90 kids will set the ramp on fire.
When cffa announced the auditions in June 2008, they received an overwhelming response of 250 applications from kids from all over Pune, for participation in this mega fashion show. “We shortlisted 90 kids, the oldest being 13 years, and have been grooming them for the past four months. And they are really talented youngsters, who have been passionately working towards making the event a grand success. It will indeed be a treat to the audience to witness these ‘little stars’ dazzling the stage”, beams Ramesh Mehta, MD, cffa, who started the academy in 1991, and since then has held several successful kids’ fashion shows.
The very cute, stylish and trendy outfits for the kids have been designed by cffa’s 9 students, whose skills will be displayed in their creations, which include formals as well as denims, mocktails, partywear as well as rainwear, baraat as well as beachwear, and there’s even the mafia look and the cowboy look! In fact, just the fabric for the rainwear has been procured from Malaysia
“A lot of efforts have been put in to create the most exclusive designs for the show, and we are confident that these kids will surely make a fashion statement”, explains Ramesh Mehta.
The mega event will have 10 fashion sequences. Also performing at the event will be bollywood child stars Amey Pandya, Swini Khara and Palak Jain. The Chief Guests at Rangbirangee will be celebrities Delnaaz and Rajev Paul. The Guest of Honour for the evening will be Santosh Kataria, MD, Crystal International.
The fashion show is being compered by Rakeshh Paaul, a renowned TV star and choreographed by Shakir Shaikh, a leading choreographer in Mumbai and Komal from Pune. Hair and make-up will be taken care of by Eermilla.
This event will undoubtedly be a platform for Pune kids to prove their talent and step into the world of Fashion and Glamour with confidence, courage and élan.
Who said haute couture is only for adults!
