BEAS KUND TREK
Manali where this picturesque village is situated at the banks of the river Beas, this trek winds through the famous Solang Valley. Set 13 km from Manali, Solang has good skiing slopes equipped with an excellent lift. A splendid valley between Manali and Kothi, it also offers views of the glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks. The trail then goes via Dhundi and Bakarthach to enter the Beas Kund glacier, the birthplace of the river ‘Beas’.

Day 01: Departure from Pune by Zhelum express.
Day 02: Arrival in Delhi and stay there
Day 03: leaving for Manali in the evening.
Day 04: Reaching by morning in Manali and visit to Mountaineering Institute of Manali and stay.
Day 05: Shift to base camp at Solang Nullah, visit to Shivling Point and Solang village and back to campsite (5hrs).
Day 06: Solang – Dhundi (3150m) 3hrs.
Trek from Solang will pass through Solang Nullah, famous for paragliding in summers and skiing in winters. From Solang, road follows the river Beas to Dhundi, where the road ends. The camp is a small walk away. Don’t miss the first glimpse of the majestic ‘Hanuman Tibba’ from campsite.
Day 07: Dhundi – Bakarthach (3300m) 3hrs.
Gradually ascending from the valley, the trail continues to the scenic campsite at Bakarthach.
Day 08: Bakarthach – Beas Kund (3650m) – Bakarthach (5hrs).
Trek over moraine to the small lake at Beas Kund, the birth place of the river ‘Beas’. After spending some time at Beas kund, trace the path back to Bakarthach.
Day 09: Bakarthach – Dhundi and drive back to Manali (3hrs).
Trek ends at Dhundi from where a vehicle will pick you up and drop you back in Manali.
Day 10: Day free for sightseeing in Manali.
Day 11: Half day in Manali and departure at evening by bus to Delhi.
Day 12: Delhi arrival, leaving by train.
Day 13: Arrival in Pune.

21 May 2009 to 02 June 2009.
Fees and other charges: fees are including of traveling from Pune return back to Pune by train in second class/AC three tier accommodations up to Delhi. Also journey from Delhi return back to Delhi in luxury bus up to Manali in 2*2 coach class. Total charges/amount is divided into two easy installments, where every participant will pay initial amount of Rs.5000/- on confirming his/her entry for this trek. Due of second installment of Rs.6250/- amount has to pay 60 days before commencement of trek.
Trekking allows every participant to carry personal belongings such as extra clothes, accessories, food, electronic valuables etc with oneself. Rest other facilities will be provided at camp sites.
Food in travel part is excluded and only will be started on the day of acclimatization. Vegetarian food will be provided in all camps. Accommodation in tents on sharing at prefixed camp sites. Accommodation in Manali on sharing basis in good and clean hotel.
Expenses for local sightseeing in Manali will have to contribute together by each one in the batch.
Very important: considering safe and comfortable journey, advance railway booking is necessary. Participants are requested for confirmation of ‘Beas Kund’ trekking programme minimum 65days in advance. Participants have to submit enrollment application/membership form along with their latest passport size photograph, medical/fitness certificate separately.
Safety code for participants: alcoholic beverages are banned from entire trekking programme, considering challenging and most enjoyable trekking programme organized by ‘HUGE Adventures’.
