International conference on
‘Design for Children’
– with focus on play and learn
3rd – 5th February 2010

The international conference with focus on ‘Designing for Children’ is scheduled to be held at Mumbai, India in Feb 2010 and is being hosted by the Industrial Design Centre (IDC), at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai.

This international event is aimed at deliberations and discussions concerning design issues related to children. The event is expected to throw light on the role of designing for children with focus on design of objects, media and environment as related to ‘play and learn’.

The events are centered around the interests of students, educationists, practicing designers and children related interest groups. The event has been designed to be lively, interactive and thought provoking and will provide great opportunity to interact with thought leaders and listen to visions by researchers.

The major events during the conference week are:
1. Design Education Meet (1-2, February 2010)
2. International Design Conference (call for papers is open) (3-5, February 2010)
3. Exhibition of projects on ‘Design for Children’ (1-5, February 2010)

Acceptance of Abstract: 31st of August 2009
Deadline for full paper submission: 30th November 2009
