SUFI KE RANG….....KHAYAL KE SANG…....The theme of this years concert presented by Raag-Reet is the unique combination of Sufi Kalam and Hindusthani classical compositions.These compositions,both Khayal and Sufi Kalam are the fruits of a 1000 years old history of these two genres of music and their co-existence.
National integration,communal harmony and pure music will be the highlight of this years presentation.Kumar Mukherjee,the last “shagird”of late Ustad Munawar Ali Khansahib(the scion of Kasur-Patiala Gharana) and his disciples will reconstruct the ambience of a Dargah in an auditorium,albeit musically.
Entry to this concert will be free and all music lovers are cordially invited.
