TechStar 2009 is a National (India) Level Technical Paper Presentation Contest conducted by Honeypot IT Consulting Private Limited, Hyderabad through beTechs.com. Honeypot IT Consulting Private Limited is an internationally established software development company with offices in USA and India. BeTechs.com is a one-stop interactive ,informative, educative social networking portal for Indian students, graduates, post graduates and other communities. This contest is open for all engineering, science and management students viz., BE/B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA ,MSc and MBA. The contest consists of two stages:
a.Submission
Participants are required to submit an Abstract and Paper(.ppt,.doc,.txt,.rtf) in selected topic detailing the scope of work, methodology proposed and benefits that incur.
In this stage after getting submissions, the company evaluates the papers through panel of judges. Then the presenters of the selected papers will be called for presentation to Hyderabad, .Andhra Pradesh.
b.Presentation
The paper presentation event will be held in Hyderabad. The contestants should present their ideas before the judges, industry experts and the audience.

The purpose of the Paper Presentation Contest is to encourage students to experience the research in the topics given for the contest and to give them an opportunity to participate and let them have exposure to the industry experts and fellow contestants. This activity helps the contestants to boost their confidence which may help in lot of other areas.
Technical contests have often pushed scientific discovery to new heights and served to promote specific scientific fields of special public interest.
