Silver Salt Animation Festival (SSAF) 2010 is India’s biggest, longest and only short film festival which is completely dedicated to ANIMATION. The motto of this festival is “Everything you can imagine is real.” which pretty much sums up the spirit of 1st SSAF. It is designed to be as much a competition as it is an Artists Collective opening up a unique opportunity to bring together Animation Filmmakers, Enthusiasts, and Audience and Business Community under one Roof. Interestingly, this festival is being organized by a bunch of young media professionals from Mumbai. Jidnyesh Mhatre, Anvita Thapliyal, Vidyadhar Sawant, Ashutosh Mishra, Suvarcha Consul, Nilendra Pore, Yogesh Raut, Upendra Sidhaye and their colleagues are working 24×7 to make this one-of-its-kind festival a grand success. Another unique thing about SSAF is that it will be a traveling film festival showcasing 50 best animated short films from around the globe at 5 major cities in India – Pune, Kolkata, Benguluru, Chennai and finally concluding at Mumbai with a grand two-day event. Eminent personalities from field of Animation and Film like Prof. Samar Nakhate, V.G. Samant, Ram Mohan, Madhu Nair, Shilpa Ranade, Simmi Nallaseth and Satish Thokade are working as jury members for SSAF.
