DAY 01
Arrive early morning at Haridwar by overnight train. Transfer to our Kayak Facility at Shivpuri on Ganges. Breakfast and a brief introduction to the kayaking equipment, before we hit the water. Basic paddling strokes, turning strokes and instill the basic control and balance of the boat. Long boating session with working lunch. Towards the end of the river time we give the experience of wet exit, and Eskimo rescue to the participants.

DAY 02
Early morning wakeup, warm up and stretching exercises. After breakfast we proceed for an initiation river run (class I difficulty). Today’s objective is to build confidence in the paddlers as well as to give them the taste of river running. Key attention is given to river ferry skills and general improvement on paddling strokes. Wrap up after lunch.

DAY 03
Today participants would experience river running of about 10 kms, spanning over up to class II kind of rapids. The instructors and safety kayakers would guide and help the paddlers negotiate big volume class II rapids in safety. Practice of Eskimo rescue would be given a lot of importance apart from river reading.

DAY 04
The last day of the course is the summation of all the skills that have been imparted. Participants do a longer and more serious river run, which includes one class III rapid. After the trip we have a short get-together, and then the participants depart for Haridwar to board the evening Shatabdi express.

Cost Includes:
- Simple accommodation in dormitory style at our kayaking facility in Shivpuri
- All meals from breakfast of day 01 till the lunch of day 05
- Use of kayaking equipment (kayak, spray deck, wet suit, paddle, helmet, PFD), instructor, river guides
- Local transportation
- Railway station transfers (as per trains recommended by us. If participants wish to travel by different means/timings, the transfers would need to be paid for as per actual)
- All necessary rescue and first aid equipment.

Cost Excludes:
- Railway station transfers Haridwar – Shivpuri – Haridwar
- Train fares to/fro Haridwar
- Expenses of a personal nature like aerated drinks, mineral water, etc.
- Insurance of any kind
- Alcoholic drinks
- Any other expense not mentioned in the cost includes column.

What to bring along:
- Water bottle with water (compulsory)
- Towel & Toilet Paper & kit (compulsory)
- Personal Photo Identity (compulsory)
- Waterproof Sunscreen lotion / sun protection / block cream / moisturizer (recommended)
- Carry comfortable full cotton casual top and full cotton trouser (recommended)
- T-shirts or Shirts, Track-pants or Rafting Shorts, quick drying clothes/swimming costumes for kayaking (recommended)
- Water Protection Gear (Dry bags / Poncho) (recommended)
- Waterproof floater kind of sandals with securable back strap or Aqua Socks (Footwear for Kayaking) (recommended)
- Sun glasses with retainers (recommended)
- Wear good rubber-soled shoes
- Sunhat & Sun Cap
- Personal Medication (if any)
- Personal Torch / Headlamp
- Mosquito Repellent
- Camera with sufficient batteries and film / memory cards (optional)
- Chocolates and dry fruits as pocket snacks (optional)

Warm clothing would be needed from mid oct till mid march.

A program designed to facilitate enthusiasts who wish to take a plunge into the exciting world of whitewater kayaking. The schedule is short and crisp, and focuses on skill development and a lot of fun.

Experience the magic of white water adventures from a kayak. This program would enable you to take an introductory step and would give you the basic skills and a lot of challenging adventures. Each day would emphasize on river practice time, and paddling sessions would be long and intense.

We would attempt to impart structured kayaking skills to a novice trainee. Each day would include theory sessions and lot of river running exposure. Day end de-brief sessions would ensure informal group discussions to further enhance technical and non-technical knowledge of this activity.

Take your whitewater adventure to the next levels. Get into the driving seat, and experience the challenge, adrenaline and satisfaction of whitewater kayaking.

Travel advisory:
- Participants should reach Shivpuri not later than 7 AM on day 01
- Participants from Delhi are recommended to travel by the following trains:

Haridwar to Delhi: 2018 Shatabdi Express, 4042 Mussourie Express, 2206 Dehradun AC Special
