DRUM ZONE – INSTITUTE OF DRUMS
Drummers choose carefully where they choose to study and work. At the Drum Zone, we understand what drummers need and that is why our facilities are fully equipped with high quality acoustic drum kits, air-conditioned practice booths and a wide range of equipment for both performance and practice.
Drum Zone – Institute Of Drums is located in Santacruz-Mumbai, at the heart of the music world in Mumbai, and has pioneered the teaching methods, curriculum and philosophy that have become the benchmarks for contemporary music education for drummers. The Drum Zone is uniquely placed to help drummers maximize their talent and develop a career in the music industry.
Lessons at Drum Zone, part of Mumbai’s premier popular music school Guitar Hall, are flexible and can easily be arranged to suit individual interests and budgets. From lessons after school, college or work, to intensive one-to-one lessons for the aspiring professional, The Drum Zone has a training program that will suit everybody’s needs.
Beginners will learn the foundations of drumming in different styles, including rock, pop, R&B and jazz, techniques for hands and feet, drum notation and four-way coordination on the drum kit. More advanced players can concentrate on the areas that they want and need to work on, including advanced techniques for hands and feet, musical application of drum rudiments, Latin rhythms, advanced coordination and independence studies, and Jazz drumming.
Trinity Guildhall examination preparation is also available for those who want to study for drum kit grade examinations. These examinations allow you to prepare pieces in the styles of music you enjoy, and develop technical ability, improvisation and listening skills.
