Myband My Night @ Bangalore presenting live performance by Malabar, a two-member Fusion Band.
The members are – Electric Violin (Govind Menon), Percussion (Varun Sunil) and Electronic grooves (tracks from a laptop)
The band MALABAR consists of two members; Govind Menon and Varun Sunil. Govind come from a family of musicians while Varun is a first generation musician. They have played together informally for over two years but as a band over the last year. They have performed live extensively on stage and TV. Over the last year they have won major talent awards playing together as a band.
Their forte is melody backed by strong grooves. While Govind generally plays on the electric Violin, he is also the band’s programmer and composer. Varun plays a variety of percussion instruments like the Thumba, the triple congas, the djembe, darbuka, Chenda, bongos etc
