India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA), India’s apex body of pulses and grains industry & trade, today announced the GLOBAL PULSES CONCLAVE (GPC). GPC, a first-of-its-kind conclave for the world pulses industry and trade, will be hosted from February 15 to 17, 2012 at Hotel Renaissance Convention Centre in Mumbai.
Among key presentations would be one by the Secretary, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Shri Rajiv Agarwal IAS who will speak on Government’s Policy Perspective for the Pulses Sector. Mr. Brian Clancey, Publisher & Editor, STAT Publishing will speak on ‘The Global Pulses Market and Supply Outlook for 2012’. An interactive session on ‘Plant Quarantine Issue’ has been planned. The highlight of the Seminar would be ‘Pulses Price Outlook for 2012’ by an eminent panel of experts. The Conclave will feature a series of stimulating presentations and culminate with B2B meetings. An exhibition with scores of stalls will showcase the latest on offer from the world of pulses.The GPC will also feature an Exhibition with 40 stalls of which 25 stalls have already been booked by Indian and International exhibitors.A number of B2B meetings are expected to take place, with tremendous networking opportunity for pulses buyers & sellers as well as for service providers. As February is the month of India’s Rabi harvest, a large number of trade transactions are likely to happen during the Conclave. At the moment, IPGA is planning a crop survey, results of which may be announced during the Conclave.
